Description: Job Duties: Responsible for the design, analysis, test, manufacturing support, and documentation of a variety of state-of-the-art digital, analog, and RF electronic systems, subsystems, and circuit card assemblies.


Traces project requirements into a hardware architecture and produces derived requirements documents, detailed design descriptions, interface control documents and test plans.


Supports the design and development effort through the integration of the HW/SW through to production release of product. Develops designs and test procedures for proof of designs. Provides guidance in schematic design and Printed Wire Board design. Develops prototypes and test fixtures for proof of concepts. Troubleshoots and analyzes prototype designs.
Specific Qualifications:
• BSEE or equivalent.
• 3-10 years hardware design experience.
• Experience with schematic capture, current VHDL design entry, simulation, and synthesis.
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronic hardware design including FPGAs (XILINX preferred) and VHDL, CPLDs, ACDs, DACs, op amps, mixed analog and digital designs, and embedded systems.
• Proficient in a wide range of electronic laboratory test equipment and software related tools.
• Work effectively across groups of diverse disciplines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
