State : Maryland City : Gaithersburg Minimum Requirements : The qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Civil or Water/Dam related Engineering field, with a professional registration. Must have at least 10 years of experience in the engineering field, with at least 3 of these years providing project management. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. The candidate must have demonstrated past performance in fiscal/regulatory compliance and Project/ Program Management. Job Description : The Project Engineer will manage small to moderate size dam projects within existing dam and reservoir practice in the Mid-Atlantic region. Will monitor budget and schedule and control work effort to keep projects on budget and schedule. Will oversee the work of graduate and senior engineers in the performance of stability analyses, settlement analyses, flownet analyses, and other analyses associated with the design of earthen dams. Will prepare written documentation of analyses and reports and prepare draft proposals. This position is also responsible for overseeing field work and performing inspections of dams.
