Database Administrator

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Monitor and tune database resources and activities for SQL Server
databases * Perform and automate SQL Server version upgrades and patch
installs * Automation of routine database administration tasks *
Providing assistance to application development staff * Data modeling
* Creating DTS packages to load and scrub data * Creating installation
scripts for patches and product upgrades * Develop environment
specifications, benchmarking performance scenarios, and monitor
environment * Create and monitor the execution of backup plans * Other
duties as assigned

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum 2 years experience as a SQL Server DBA SQL Server Certified
DBA preferred * Degree in a technical field or commensurate experience
* Troubleshoot performance and networking issues * Windows commands
and scripting/automation techniques * Structured programming skills -
object oriented design knowledge is a plus * Experience with
automating tasks using batch, shell or perl scripts. * Experience with
basic web development - Visual Studio is a plus. * Knowledge and
experience using Visual Studio for Web Application design and support
